SulfiNox™ HS6804S Hydrogen Sulfide Scavenger Solved H2S Problem for Inlet Platform
In Alaska a customer had a well located on an inlet platform producing 2000 barrels of oil, 27,000 barrels of water and 1.5 MMCF of gas per day. The well also had 3,000 ppm of dangerous and corrosive hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) in the gas phase. The gas is being produced through a twelve inch flowline leading to a low pressure separator, then through a bubble tower, a spent chemical separator, finally the inlet suction scrubber of the compressor.
Sweetening tower inlet H₂S levels were 3,000 ppm. The customer was experiencing health, safety and environmental (HSE) issues as well as non-compliance gas sales due to elevated H₂S levels.
After conducting an on-site survey, X-Chem recommended SulfiNox™ HS6804S H₂S scavenger. The SulfiNox™ scavenger was injected into the twelve inch flowline upstream of the sweetening tower at a rate of 200 gallons per day. The result was a reduction of Hydrogen Sulfide (H₂S) from 3,000 ppm down to a safe, compliant level of 10 to 20 ppm.
When you have safety or gas sales compliance issues in your operations, rely on our SulfiNox™ line of scavenger products to help you: Remove more. Be Safer.
